Earn money from photos and pictures
Everyone has got a digital camera these days. And everyone is clicking photos by dozens. Now, if you weren’t a professional photographer, is there really a way to make money with them? Well yes.
You needn’t be a professional photographer, but if you are pretty decent with cameras and angles, then you can make a fortune too. All you need is a digital camera, some basic photography knowledge and some patience.
Get a good digital camera, possibly one with a good resolution of at least 6 Mega Pixels.
The basic requirement is that you have to take good quality pictures using your digital camera. Make sure you undertake some basic photography lessons. You need to make sure that the images that you take are not shaky, out of focus or fuzzy.
Now how to make money form clicking pictures?
There are lot of stock photography agencies online, that sells images and pictures. What these agencies do is buy images from photographers and sell them off to commercial agencies like printing agencies, newspaper agencies, magazine publishers etc. There are different methods of payment for these agencies. When some of them give money for sales on commission, some of them buy your pictures even if they don’t sell. Some stock photography agencies pay out as high as 60% on commission, and this is good deal of money.
Google around for “stock photography” and you’ll find all those photography sites that will pay you for your photos. A few of them are Alamy, Getty and Corbis.
The main conditions for submission of your photos to these agencies are that -
- The images need to be high quality
- Artistic ones preferred.
- No smudge, shake or fuzzyness.
- Variety of pictures.
Once you have such photos to submit, sky is the limit for earning money by clicking pictures.
