How to find great money making domain names
Hope all will agree that finding a good domain name is the first and foremost step to a good website. A good domain name selected is half the job done. There are a couple of very good domain registration tools out on the market that make the process of finding a good domain name easier. A few of my favorites are:
When searching for domain names, particularly if you’re trying to get some keyword matching, it can be extremely helpful to use tools like Yahoo! Search Suggest or Google Suggest / Trends as well as more obvious direct keyword research tools like Wordtracker or KeywordDiscovery
A few things to keep in mind while buying domain names.
- Never go for very long domain names.
- Never go for dashes in between keywords unless you have no other way.
- Never use numbers unless they are significant in the domain name.
- Let the domain name be as descriptive as possible.
- Use keywords in the domain, but let them not be over optimized.
- Think about the domain long term, not short term.
- While using brands, make sure you pick a “recollectible” domain name.
